SUZUKI ANNOUNCES 2008-2009 AUTO SHOW SCHEDULE

  • Suzuki’s upcoming auto show tour will kick off at the State Fair of Texas
  • Global debut of all-new Suzuki sport sedan highlights upcoming auto show schedule

BREA, Calif., (June 23, 2008) – American Suzuki Motor Corp. today announced its schedule for the upcoming 2008-2009 auto show season, which will include appearances at more than 50 regional and local shows, including Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. The company will not attend the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

“Suzuki is a niche manufacturer of lifestyle-oriented, fun-to-drive vehicles, and as a specialist within the industry we need to selectively participate in shows where our unique and compelling story has the most impact,” said Mark Harano, president of American Suzuki Automotive Operations. “Our participation at local auto shows has contributed a great deal to our continued sales success and, with the excitement surrounding the arrival of our 2009 lineup, we look forward to hitting the road.”

Beginning at the State Fair of Texas Auto Show in September, Suzuki will display its versatile line of 2009 vehicles, including the spirited four-door SX4 Sport, bold and functional five-door SX4 Crossover, exciting XL7 midsize SUV, rugged Grand Vitara compact SUV and activity-oriented Equator midsize pickup truck.
